Job summary

We are seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated inpatient team in Great Falls, MT. This full-time, on-site role emphasizes strong nurse-to-patient ratios, supportive administration, and a collaborative culture.

Ideal candidates will have documented PCU/stepdown experience, active MT RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. The position offers a stable schedule with night shifts and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN licensure required).
• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in Montana or endorsement eligibility.
• Core certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or will obtain within 6 months).
• Post-graduate clinical practice in an advanced Medical/Surgical unit with Critical Care or PCU/Stepdown experience.
• Pediatric nursing experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, EKG interpretation, and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to hemodynamically stable or unstable patients on PCU/stepdown.
• Manage diverse patient population including pre/post-PCI care and complex surgical cases.
• Monitor for deteriorating conditions using assessment and intervention tools.
• Operate advanced medical equipment (arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, etc.).
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams from admission through discharge planning.
• Act as a clinical floor leader, precepting staff and guiding LPNs and CNAs.
