Job summary

Workforce Recruiter is partnering with a regional healthcare system to recruit a full-time, on-site Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN in Great Falls, Montana. This role emphasizes excellent nurse-to-patient ratios, strong teamwork, and compassionate care in a supportive clinical setting.

Responsibilities include direct patient care on a stepdown unit, post-PCI care, telemetry monitoring, use of arterial/central lines, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams from admission to discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
• Active Montana RN license (or immediate compact/endorsement eligibility).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (or obtained within 6 months).
• Post-graduate clinical practice in an advanced Medical/Surgical unit with Critical Care or PCU/Stepdown experience.
• Pediatric nursing experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to hemodynamically stable/predictably unstable patients on a PCU/stepdown unit.
• Manage a diverse patient population, including post-PCI care and complex surgeries.
• Monitor for deterioration and intervene promptly using telemetry and monitoring tools.
• Operate arterial/central lines, chest tubes, NG tubes, and short-term ventilatory support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from admission through discharge planning.
• Precept and support LPNs, CNAs, and ancillary staff on the floor.
