Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, on-site position in Great Falls, Montana.

The role emphasizes excellent nurse-to-patient ratios, strong teamwork, and a supportive clinical environment. The RN will care for hemodynamically stable and select unstable patients on a PCU/stepdown unit, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and providing leadership on the floor.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted RN license in Montana (or eligibility for compact/endorsement).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required (or must be obtained within 6 months); EPNC and TNCC preferred.
• Experience: Post-graduate clinical practice in a Medical/Surgical unit with recent ICU or PCU/stepdown nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients on an advanced medical/surgical unit.
• Manage diverse patient population including pre/post-PCI care and complex surgeries.
• Monitor for deteriorating conditions using assessment tools and intervene.
• Operate and manage arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and short-term ventilation as needed.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams from admission to discharge planning.
• Lead on the floor, precepting new staff and guiding LPNs and CNAs.
