Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN to join a regional healthcare system in Great Falls, Montana. This full-time, on-site role offers dayshift hours and a supportive team with strong nurse-to-patient ratios.

The RN will provide direct clinical care on a PCU/stepdown unit, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff. BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required or obtained within 6 months.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Montana or compact/endorsement eligible.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required (or within 6 months of hire).
• Post-graduate practice in an MSU/PCU or ICU with related experience.
• Pediatric nursing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to hemodynamically stable or select unstable PCU patients.
• Care for a diverse patient population including post-PCI care and complex surgeries.
• Monitor for deterioration and stabilize patients as needed.
• Operate arterial/central lines, chest tubes, NG tubes, irrigation, IV pumps, and ventilation support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from admission to discharge.
• Serve as clinical leader on the floor and precept staff.
