Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA, is seeking a Sourcing Manager for PCB/PCBA to lead demand planning and strategic procurement for Starshield hardware. You will coordinate with suppliers, manage cost, and drive supplier performance in a high-velocity environment.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in RFIs/RFPs, and deep knowledge of electronics procurement. Onsite work in Hawthorne is required; US national/global partners may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in engineering, purchasing, or supply chain.
• Technical procurement experience with PCB/PCBA or electrical components.
• Experience with RFIs, RFPs, and supplier negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with key suppliers to develop and implement sourcing and cost management strategies.
• Pull and aggregate the overall demand picture for hardware used in Starshield satellite constellation.
• Act as the supplier interface for all RFIs, RFPs and RFQs.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to run the RFX process and evaluation; implement sourcing decisions.
• Manage costs to ensure adherence to budgets and forecasts.
• Develop should-cost models for competitive cost analysis.
• Ensure suppliers support prototype builds, ramp up, and mass production.
• Drive internal and external process improvements to save costs.
