Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Sourcing Manager for PCB/PCBA to lead demand planning and strategic sourcing for Starshield hardware. You will balance cost, quality, and lead times while scaling production for satellites and ground systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in engineering, purchasing, or supply chain, with strong procurement and communication skills. Onsite in Hawthorne; travel possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in engineering, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Experience with PCB/PCBA procurement and technical procurement preferred.
• Strong cost control, scheduling, and supplier management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing and cost management strategies for existing platforms and new products.
• Aggregate demand for hardware to enable accurate planning and ramp schedules.
• Serve as supplier interface for RFIs, RFPs and RFQs and drive evaluation results.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute RFX processes and sourcing decisions.
• Manage costs to meet project budgets and forecasts.
• Develop should-cost models for competitive analysis.
• Ensure supplier readiness for prototypes and mass production.
• Drive internal and external process improvements to save costs.
• Present value propositions to SpaceX executives on cost issues and contracts.
• Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships and performance data.
