Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Global Supply Manager in Hawthorne, CA to lead sourcing and supplier management for Starship electronics. You will craft strategies, negotiate terms, and drive cost reductions across multiple categories in a fast-moving aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or 10+ years of experience in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, materials or production planning, or supply chain management.
• Experience with contract negotiation and material/production planning.
• APICS certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies to minimize risk and achieve cost savings.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders to design strategic sourcing models that maximize value and reduce costs.
• Communicate, implement, and enforce compliance with sourcing strategies.
• Identify and execute cost reduction initiatives and report progress.
• Conduct quantitative analyses to evaluate financial impacts and opportunities.
• Partner with stakeholders to establish supplier SLAs and KPIs and track performance.
• Perform market research, benchmarking and competitive analysis for categories.
• Collaborate with Legal to draft and finalize contracts.
• Actively manage contracts to meet obligations and performance standards.
• Drive value and cost savings while mitigating risk through negotiations.
• Lead cost optimization by reducing waste and unnecessary usage across operations.
• Establish and maintain a roster of preferred suppliers.
• Design and implement supplier management programs and monitor KPIs.
• Issue purchase orders and resolve blocked invoices; streamline processes.
