Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sourcing Specialist for PCB/PCBA within the Starshield program in Hawthorne, CA. You will own demand planning and strategic sourcing for hardware used on satellites and production, balancing cost, quality, and lead times to scale manufacturing.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, manage RFIs/RFPs, and push for process improvements while building strong supplier relationships and delivering value to SpaceX programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, material planning, production planning, supply chain management or engineering.
• Experience with PCB/PCBA procurement or electronics components is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing and cost management strategies for hardware.
• Aggregate demand for Starshield hardware to enable accurate forecasting.
• Manage RFIs, RFPs and RFQs and drive RFX processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to select optimal sourcing decisions.
• Drive cost reduction while meeting budgets and timelines.
• Create should-cost models for competitive analysis.
• Ensure readiness of suppliers for prototype builds and mass production.
• Present value propositions and cost reviews to executives.
• Foster strong supplier partnerships and monitor performance.
