Job summary

Zohorecruit in Seymour, CT seeks a Process Engineer to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for PCB and electro-mechanical assemblies. You will troubleshoot in real time, review diagrams, and help introduce new products with DFx input.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and hands-on skills in automation, machine programming, and reading schematics. You will collaborate across teams to maintain production flow and drive quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical foundation with emphasis on automation and basic electrical principles.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong math and physics calculation skills (rates, tolerances, data analysis).
• Knowledge of electronic component identification and IPC-A-610 solder inspection training.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and document manufacturing processes, SOPs, and work instructions for PCB and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Provide real-time troubleshooting during manufacturing to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
• Analyze PCB layout data and panelization for design and process compliance.
• Review blueprints, schematics, specifications for modifications and approvals.
• Design or fabricate fixtures and tooling to streamline assembly workflows.
• Conduct root cause analysis on assembly failures and implement preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Quality teams on inspections and rework processes.
• Provide guidance to inspection and assembly personnel.
• Partner with maintenance to create preventive maintenance plans.
• Participate in NPI and equipment qualification; provide DFx feedback.
• Act as engineering liaison to production, track milestones and report variances.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
