Job summary

Silicon Forest Electronics in Florida is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop, evaluate, and maintain PCB manufacturing processes (SMT, Through-Hole) and related assembly production. You will drive continuous improvement to improve manufacturability, efficiency, flow, and quality; implement design changes and cost analyses.

This hands-on role spends up to 85% on the factory floor, leading new product introductions, creating manufacturing instructions, and supporting customer

Qualifications

• Develop and optimize PCB manufacturing processes (SMT & Through-Hole) to improve manufacturability and quality.
• Assist with new product introductions and prototype production.
• Perform labor & NRE estimation, process validation, and failure analysis as required.

Responsibilities

• New product introduction from release through production process development and customer delivery.
• Create manufacturing instructions for process controls, validation, repeatability and approvals.
• Assist with cost analysis for improvement projects and equipment needs.
• Lead stencil design and procurement processes.
• Profile and optimize reflow oven, wave solder, and related temperature profiling.
• Program and train operators for AOI, X-Ray, Ionograph, SMT placement, and wave solder equipment.
• Participate in improvement projects on the manufacturing floor.
