Job summary

Cherry Hill Free Clinic is seeking a Personal Care Aide to provide compassionate in-home support to clients in their own homes in Winterville, NC. You will follow care plans, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain safety and infection control protocols.

The role emphasizes respect for client confidentiality, proper use of assistive devices, and reporting changes to supervisors. 18+ with caregiving experience preferred. EVV timekeeping is used to document tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read/write required.
• At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Ability to follow instructions, utilize equipment safely, and demonstrate compassion.

Responsibilities

• Follow client care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, meal preparation (including special diets), feeding, oral hygiene, and transfers using assistive devices.
• Ensure safety protocols, infection control, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Support clients with self-help activities, and secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping.
• Respect client confidentiality and privacy, providing quality care within scope and seeking guidance when needed.
• Assist only with the self-administration of medications, without direct administration.
• Report any changes in client condition, unsafe environments, or abuse concerns to supervisors.
