Job summary

AccessHealth is seeking a Personal Care Aide to deliver quality client care in a home setting. You will follow care plans, complete daily tasks via EVV or timesheets, and assist with personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, and meal prep.

You will follow safety protocols, protect client privacy, encourage independence, report changes in condition, and help with light tasks like laundry and shopping.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
  • Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience, validated through references.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

  • Follow care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
  • Assist clients with personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, and meal preparation, including special diet needs.
  • Utilize safety precautions, infection control procedures, and proper equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
  • Encourage client independence and respect confidentiality/privacy.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment and notify supervisors of concerns or changes in client condition.
  • Assist with secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping as needed.
  • Support clients with self-administration of medications, without direct administration.
  • Report suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe living conditions immediately.
