Job summary

Cherry Hill Free Clinic is seeking a Personal Care Aide to provide in-home caregiving services. You will follow the client's care plan, complete daily tasks using EVV or timesheets, and assist with personal care activities while promoting safety and independence.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of caregiving experience, and are 18 years or older. Strong communication and observation skills are essential to deliver compassionate support within care

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
• At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to encourage self-help and maintain safety standards.
• Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow client's care plan and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheet.
• Assist with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, meal preparation (including special diets), feeding, oral hygiene, and transfers using equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and private environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
• Perform secondary tasks such as laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep, only as outlined in the care plan.
• Respect client confidentiality and privacy, providing quality care within scope and seeking guidance when needed.
• Assist clients with self-administration of medications, without directly administering medications.
• Report any changes in client condition, unsafe environments, or concerns about abuse or neglect to the supervisor promptly.
