Job summary

This in-home Personal Care Aide position provides care to clients in their homes, ensuring safety, comfort and support. You will follow care plans, assist with daily living activities, and promote client independence while maintaining dignity and privacy.

Applicants should have at least 6 months of caregiving experience or related work, be 18+, and able to read and write. Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures is required; ability to use assistive devices may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
• Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience validated through references.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions accurately.
• Capable of using assistive equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow client care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
• Assist with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, and meal preparation, respecting dietary needs.
• Support clients in self-help and promote independence.
• Utilize safety precautions, infection control, and universal precautions at all times.
• Perform secondary tasks like light housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and report any hazards or changes in client condition.
• Respect client confidentiality, privacy, and rights.
• Assist with self-administration of medications (without direct administration).
• Report suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions immediately.
