Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a PC Refresh Technician for a Virginia project supporting state agencies. This role requires travel to executive branch locations across Culpeper, VA and nearby areas to perform hardware refresh, data transfer, and application reinstalls.

Responsibilities include transferring data, reinstalling applications, troubleshooting hardware, and supporting Windows 10/11 environments. A 2–4 week onsite training period precedes independent work.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to work with minimal direction.
• Experience supporting desktop/laptop systems; deploying and disposal of devices.
• Familiarity with installing, troubleshooting, and supporting Windows 10 & 11 operating systems; hardware troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Insight global is seeking a PC Refresh Technician for a project supporting the State agencies of Virginia. This Refresh Technician will be responsible for traveling to all executive branch agency locations across Culpeper, VA and surrounding region. Day to day responsibilities include transferring data from one machine to another, reinstalling applications, troubleshooting hardware, and working with Windows 10 & 11 operating systems through tickets. There is no imaging. We are seeking entry-level candidates who are flexible with work hours/locations and have a reliable source of transportation. This resource will start with a 2-4 week training (shadowing current technicians onsite) before beginning to work independently.

Rates:

Refresh Technician I (0-1 years exp): $20.42/hr

Refresh Technician II (1 - 2 years exp): $23.28/hr

Refresh Technician III (2+ years exp): $27.28/hr

We will need resources that sit in one of the 7 service areas:

• Downtown Richmond
• Richmond metro area - Goochland to Richmond
• Charlottesville/Staunton/Lynchburg/Roanoke
• Petersburg/Chester/Hopewell
• Nova - Fredericksburg, Culpepper and up
• Southeast VA - VB to emporia and everything up towards west point
