Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a PC Refresh Technician to support Virginia state agencies. The role requires traveling to agency locations across Roanoke and surrounding areas, transferring data between machines, reinstalling applications, and performing troubleshooting.

Training lasts 2–4 weeks with shadowing, after which the technician works independently. Ideal candidates are entry-level, flexible with work hours/locations, and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Virginia Driver's License.
• Customer service oriented.
• Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to work with minimal direction.
• Experience supporting desktop/laptop systems; deploying and disposal of devices.
• Familiarity with installing, troubleshooting, and supporting the following:
• Windows 10 & 11 operating systems!!!
• HP, Dell, Microsoft, Apple laptop/desktop hardware systems.

Responsibilities

• Travel to executive branch agency locations across Roanoke VA and surrounding areas.
• Transfer data from one machine to another.
• Reinstall applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software as needed.
• Follow procedures and work under training guidance.
• Participate in a 2-4 week training shadowing current technicians onsite.
