Job summary

KaiHonua, LLC is seeking a PC Desktop Technician II in Rock Island, IL. The role involves operating and monitoring computer equipment, troubleshooting software/hardware, and supporting end users.

It requires security clearance, DoD IT certifications, and strong problem-solving with Windows 11 and Office 365 proficiency. The position includes after-hours support, training responsibilities, and a focus on maintaining logs, ticketing, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or related discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of PC Desktop Technician experience preferred.
• IT II level certification and IAT I certification required; Security+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determines sequence of operations by studying production schedule.
• Prepares equipment for operations by accessing software in computer; loading paper into printers and plotters.
• Starts operations by entering commands.
• Maintains operations by monitoring error messages and adjusting as needed.
• Documents problems by producing production logs.
• Resolves user problems by answering questions and requests.
• Ensures operation of equipment by preventive maintenance and testing.
• Maintains supplies inventory and procurement.
• Assists with managing ticket delegation and dispatching.
• Run and analyze tickets reports and user metrics.
• Perform computer imaging and re-imaging; software installs and updates.
• Setup peripheral devices and drivers; provide after-hours support as needed.
• Assist with guidance and training; other duties as assigned.
