Intuit is seeking a Lead Tax Processor for Payroll Tax Operations, acting as a senior SME to resolve complex tax issues and govern SOP/KB content. You will coach staff, manage critical escalations, and ensure compliance across state and federal notices.

The role emphasizes governance, workflow optimization, and data-driven risk mitigation, with flexible, remote hours and overtime eligibility for an hourly position.

Competenze

• 4+ years in payroll tax with focus on complex tax defect resolution and multi-state amendments.
• Previous formal lead/ SME role with coaching or mentoring experience.
• Expert knowledge of US payroll tax regulations across jurisdictions including PFML/SDI.
• Strong written skills to author and approve SOPs and technical documents.

Mansioni

• Serve as primary real-time technical expert for TP1-TP3 and mentor others.
• Own authoring, review, and approval of SOPs and KB articles.
• Conduct quarterly coaching using SBIC feedback model to close skill gaps.
• Lead or support team huddles, QA, and daily stand-up backup.
• Oversight of WIP, backlog, aging reports; advise staffing needs.
• Resolve severe payroll tax notices including IRS/state issues.
• Approve complex amended Federal/State returns with audit trails.
• Identify trends and risks; present data-driven responses to leadership.
• Represent team in cross-functional meetings; ensure compliance.
