Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected nonprofit organization serving communities throughout New York to identify a Payroll Supervisor. The role leads a small payroll team, ensuring accurate, on-time payroll processing and regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local requirements.

You will supervise two Payroll Coordinators, collaborate with Human Resources, and drive process improvements, audits, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably with ADP.
• Strong understanding of payroll processing, taxes, and multi-jurisdiction compliance.
• Previous supervisory experience with coaching and developing staff.
• Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle payroll using ADP Lyric and ADP Workforce with accuracy and timeliness.
• Supervise two Payroll Coordinators and oversee daily operations.
• Serve as main contact for employee payroll inquiries and issue resolution.
• Maintain payroll data including earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Partner with HR to ensure timely payroll changes and updates.
• Prepare recurring payroll reports, reconcile accounts, and conduct audits.
• Review wage and tax data for compliance throughout the year.
• Ensure adherence to payroll tax regulations and wage-hour laws.
• Support audits with payroll documentation and reporting.
