Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of payroll experience.
• Experience managing weekly and biweekly payroll for 400+ employees.
• Strong knowledge of federal and New York payroll regulations.
• Proficient in HRIS data maintenance and onboarding.
• Ability to review timesheets for PTO, overtime and compliance.
• Collaborates with Finance and HR on payroll changes and GL coding.
• Process wage notices and monitor accrual balances.
• Handle garnishments, deductions, and system access.

Responsibilities

• Manage weekly payroll for a smaller entity and biweekly payroll for 400+ employees, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Handle off-cycle payrolls, including bonuses and retroactive adjustments.
• Stay current on federal and NY payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
• Maintain employee data in the HRIS, including onboarding and changes affecting payroll.
• Review timesheets for accuracy, PTO usage and overtime compliance.
• Coordinate with Finance to align payroll data with GL coding and funding.
• Coordinate with HR on employee changes such as transfers and terminations.
• Prepare wage notices in accordance with regulations and monitor accruals.
• Manage timekeeping and attendance system access and permissions; troubleshoot issues.
