Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support our payroll function for a growing client base. You will handle day-to-day processing for scheduled and off-cycle payrolls and ensure accurate entry of client-provided data.

You will collaborate with Payroll Supervisors on projects, respond to client inquiries, and maintain strong relationships across teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year's experience in Customer Service.
• At least one year of payroll experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day payroll processing support for scheduled and off-cycle payrolls.
• Import or manually enter payroll changes (hours, earnings, deductions, and tax overrides).
• Calculate payroll and confirm accurate entry of client data through control totals and review.
• Respond to client inquiries via email, cases, and phone.
• Partner with Payroll Supervisors on special projects and support clients.
• Build and maintain relationships across teams to coordinate communications and services affecting clients.
• Attend webinars and training to stay up to date on payroll practices.
• Complete projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
