Job summary

Mikhail Education Corporation, LLC is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our on-site team in Las Vegas, NV. You will process payroll for multiple subsidiaries, handle HR documentation, and support audits and 401(k) matters.

This role requires detail orientation, experience with payroll tax filings, and proficiency in Excel/Word/Outlook; Paylocity or similar systems preferred. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years payroll experience, an associate degree in accounting or business, and a

Qualifications

• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credentials valued but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years payroll experience; preferably with Paylocity.
• Minimum of an associate’s degree in accounting or business administration.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of primary payroll tax filings (e.g., 940, 941, W-2, 5500; Nevada taxes).
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws; tax notice resolution and onboarding.
• Experience with payroll in NV, CA, and TX preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook; advanced technical aptitude.
• Experience with QuickBooks or NetSuite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process payroll for pay periods for all locations within the payroll system.
• Prepare journal entries for payroll across locations.
• Research payroll issues and propose solutions related to 401(k) and benefits.
• Coordinate with payroll provider on payroll-related matters.
• Assist with training new staff on the payroll system.
• Review and reconcile invoices for health and employee benefits.
• Assist with annual 401(k) audits and form 5500 filings.
• Assist with W-2 filings and tax reporting.
• Assist with quarterly state payroll tax filings and registrations.
