Job summary

Athletics - Business Operations in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Senior Payroll Coordinator to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations. You will maintain payroll records, review timekeeping, resolve discrepancies, and support reporting and compliance.

The role requires collaboration with People Operations, Finance, and other departments to ensure payroll data integrity in a fast-paced environment. On-site work in Las Vegas is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in payroll processing, payroll administration, accounting, or related field.
• Experience with multi-state payroll, per diem payments, wage garnishments, and EDD reporting; union dues a plus.
• Working knowledge of payroll processes, timekeeping systems, payroll deductions, and regulations.
• Experience with ADP payroll or HRIS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end payroll processing to ensure timely payment of employees.
• Process and track vacation and sick leave accruals.
• Maintain and file quarterly payroll tax returns; year-end W-2 processing and state reconciliations.
• Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and stakeholders.
• Coordinate payroll processing and communicate with the payroll service provider (ADP).
• Provide payroll run backup files and reports to Accounting for GL posting and month-end close.
• Reconcile 401(k) contributions and related payroll records.
• Perform payroll reconciliations for MLB and MiLB operations.
• Calculate payroll taxes to assist budgeting and forecasting.
• Report new hires to applicable agencies.
• Provide payroll data to People Operations for reporting, compliance testing, and audits.
• Prepare special reports and support additional projects.
