Job summary

nCino is seeking an Associate Payroll Specialist in Wilmington, NC to manage end-to-end payroll across multiple states and frequencies (monthly, semimonthly, biweekly). You will learn payroll processes and contribute to tax audits and system maintenance under supervision.

This role requires strong attention to detail, compliance with federal/state regulations, and teamwork, with experience in Workday or similar ERP systems preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 0–2 years of payroll experience or equivalent.
• CPP certification preferred.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.
• Experience with Workday or similar ERP system.
• International payroll experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare ad hoc payroll and financial reports as needed.
• Resolve payroll issues under supervision by manager/senior specialists.
• Explain deductions and payroll changes to employees.
• Stay updated on federal and state regulations.
• Respond to payroll inquiries with a customer-centered approach.
