AMWINS USA is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Charlotte, NC office. You will handle weekly payroll processing, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate employee data while supporting a collaborative payroll team.

The role requires 1–2 years of multi-state payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. This position is office-based, located in South Park, Charlotte, four days per week.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of multi-state payroll experience.
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational abilities.
• Proficient with Excel: pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Professional with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to interact with employees at all levels professionally.
• Understanding of multi-state payroll taxes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain timely, accurate, compliant payroll processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal laws.
• Maintain integrity of employee data in the payroll system.
• Support the payroll team with weekly processing.
• Review timesheets and attendance records and correct inaccuracies.
• Prepare for and process payroll with accuracy.
• Prepare payroll records for weekly terminations.
• Run and log payroll reports and file accordingly.
• May support SM processing as needed.
