Job summary

TAILWIND HOSPITALITY INC in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team. The role focuses on accurate biweekly payroll processing for hourly and salaried staff across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with wage laws and timely reporting.

You will review timekeeping records, manage deductions and bonuses, and coordinate with HR and accounting to maintain data integrity. The position is on-site with opportunities to grow within a multi-state hospitality organization.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of payroll experience or accounting experience.
• Experience with multi-state payroll strongly preferred.
• Understanding of wage and hour laws and tax regulations.
• Hospitality/payroll in hospitality or airport settings is a plus.
• Proficient in Google Sheets, Excel, ADP, or similar payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple locations and states.
• Review timecards, labor reports, payroll adjustments, tips, bonuses, and deductions for accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Maintain payroll records and reporting documentation; support audits and W-2 processing.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure data accuracy and system updates.
