Job summary

Cannistraro LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support our payroll team and ensure timely, accurate pay for over 650 employees weekly. You will assist with in-house payroll, multi-state processing, and certified payroll, collaborating with the Payroll Manager on compliance and reporting.

Ideal candidates bring 2–4 years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with payroll software, including CMiC.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of multi-state, in-house payroll experience.
• Knowledge of gross-to-net payroll calculations and payroll taxes.
• Strong Excel and payroll software skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Ability to meet weekly payroll deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for 650+ employees (union and non-union).
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports and maintain docs.
• Maintain payroll files and union employee setup.
• Enter approved payroll changes and maintain records.
• Report hires to state agencies; respond to inquiries.
• Handle garnishments and tax levies in payroll system.
• Serve as primary contact for payroll questions; escalate as needed.
• Assist with year-end audits and reconciliations.
• Cross-train on union remittances and tax filings.
• Provide backup support across Payroll.
