Hill Mechanical Corporation is seeking a Payroll Specialist to assist the Payroll Manager in processing payroll across multiple states and union agreements. The role supports ~1,300 employees across five entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll processing.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of payroll experience, including union environments, and is proficient with COINS ERP and the MS Office suite.

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum experience in payroll, preferably in union environments.
• Experience with multi-state payroll and union payroll processing.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including CBAs.

Responsibilities

• Review payroll data for accuracy across multi-state and union issues.
• Collaborate with Payroll Manager to ensure accurate, on-time processing.
• Assist in weekly/bimonthly payroll for ~1,300 employees across five entities.
• Ensure compliance with CBAs, and payroll laws and company policies.
• Answer payroll questions from employees promptly.
• Set up new employees and process terminations and layoff checks.
• Prepare and file payroll-related reports, including taxes and garnishments.
• Assist in worker's compensation/general liability reporting and audits.
