Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support our payroll team and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time each week. You’ll handle weekly payroll for 650+ employees across multiple states and work with the Payroll Manager on compliance and union-related tasks.

As you grow, you’ll cross-train on union remittances, payroll tax filings, and other high-level responsibilities while maintaining organized records and responding to payroll questions from managers.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of in-house multi-state payroll experience.
• Know-how: gross-to-net calculations, deductions, taxes.
• Proficient with Excel and payroll/accounting software.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with confidentiality.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Willing to learn additional payroll compliance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for 650+ employees (union and non-union).
• Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports.
• Maintain payroll files and union employee setup.
• Enter payroll changes and keep records accurate.
• Report new hires to state agencies.
• Handle garnishments and tax levies.
• Serve as payroll contact for routine questions.
• Assist with year-end audits and reconciliations.
• Cross-train on union remittances and tax filings.
• Provide backup support across Payroll.
