Job summary

Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate processing and recording of company payroll across multiple states, with timely accounting information for monthly, quarterly and year-end cycles. You will lead payroll tasks, provide guidance to the payroll team, coordinate testing of new earnings or deductions, and collaborate with ADP consultants to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, HR, finance, or related field.
• Five years of multi-state payroll experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.
• Experience with ADP e-Time and ADP payroll systems.
• Proficient with Oracle general ledger entries.
• Ability to handle confidential material and communicate with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payroll tasks for each cycle and assign to team members.
• Lead payroll team in the absence of the leader.
• Set up additional check cycles for bonuses and off-cycle payments.
• Serve as the point of contact for payroll team issues.
• Analyze payroll issues and escalate to appropriate parties.
• Test new payroll earnings or deductions prior to implementation.
• Log ADP service requests and work with consultants on root causes.
• Audit payroll preview reports for accuracy.
• Manage payroll workflow to ensure timely processing.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly for payroll.
• Prepare reports for auditors and external agencies.
• Process monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports (W-2, W-2c).
• Develop ad hoc financial and operational reports as needed.
