Job summary

Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate processing and recording of company payroll across month, quarter, and year-end cycles. You will lead payroll tasks, coordinate with the ADP consultant, and prepare GL entries in Oracle.

The role requires an Associate degree (accounting/HR/finance) and at least five years of multi-state payroll experience, with strong knowledge of federal and state regulations and ADP tools.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, HR, finance or related field preferred.
• Five years of processing multi-state payroll required.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.
• Experience with ADP tools (eTime, Smart Compliance) and payroll systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates payroll tasks for each pay cycle and assigns them to team members.
• Provides direction to payroll team in the absence of the leader.
• Determines when to set up additional check cycles for bonuses and off-cycle payments.
• Acts as the point of contact for payroll team on issues and escalations.
• Audits payroll previews to ensure accuracy of entries and refunds.
• Reconciles payroll before transmission and validates reports.
• Processes W-2, W-2c and other required year-end forms.
• Maintains payroll general ledger entries in the Oracle accounting module.
