Job summary

Spang & Company is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA. You will process payroll for hourly and non-exempt employees and manage the timekeeping system, PTO balances, and overtime tracking.

A solid understanding of UKG and ERP systems will support accurate tax reporting and annual reconciliations. The ideal candidate has an associate degree in Accounting or related field with 2+ years of experience, and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least two years of business or work experience, ideally in accounting.
• Payroll processing experience is a plus, especially in an ERP driven manufacturing environment.
• Basic Excel and Microsoft Office skills are required; experience with UKG payroll software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process hourly union and non-exempt payrolls and maintain payroll records.
• Manage the timekeeping system, including PTO balances and reporting.
• Track weekly overtime totals for annual reporting and reconcile payroll tax liabilities with UKG quarterly and year-end payments.
• Maintain files for tax returns and financial reports; handle mail and notary duties as needed.
