Job summary

NEP Group in Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced payroll professional to support multi-state payroll operations. The role focuses on processing US, Canada, and UK payrolls, maintaining accurate records in ADP Workforce Now, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions.

You will work closely with the Payroll Manager to deliver accurate, timely payroll, manage tax documents, and support HR initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience is required.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and payroll tax requirements.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process multi-country payrolls (US, Canada, UK).
  • Administer time and attendance; maintain employee records in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, wage, and employment laws.
  • Handle payroll imports, garnishments, tax documents, and notices.
  • Prepare payroll reports and month-end close documentation.
  • Assist onboarding with new hire documentation.
  • Support HR reporting and general HR initiatives as needed.

In this role, you'll partner closely with the Payroll Manager while supporting a variety of payroll and HR operations across the United States & Canada. You'll play a critical role in maintaining payroll accuracy, ensuring compliance, supporting employees, and helping our HR team deliver an exceptional employee experience.

What You’ll Do:
  • Process multi-country payrolls for the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.
  • Administer time and attendance and maintain employee records within ADP Workforce Now (HRIS).
  • Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, wage, and employment regulations.
  • Process payroll imports, garnishments, tax documents, unemployment notices, and payroll adjustments.
  • Prepare payroll reports, journal entries, and month-end payroll support documentation.
  • Support onboarding by processing new hire documentation.
  • Administer the Corporate Credit Card Program and Concur Expense Management.
  • Respond to employee payroll and HR inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Assist with HR reporting, office administration, and other HR initiatives as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
  • 3–5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.
  • Working knowledge of payroll regulations, employment laws, and payroll tax requirements.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • Human Resources experience is a plus.
