Job description

Vaco has an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Specialist, which is onsite in the Manasquan, NJ area. For this role you must have your bachelors in human resource management or related field, with a minimum of 3 years of multi-state payroll experience.

Responsibilities:

• Process multi-state payrolls with a variety of pay-cycles; computing wages and deductions in compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws.
• Review timesheets, wage compilations and other information to reconcile payroll discrepancies.
• Prepare and update confidential employment records related to hiring, terminations and leaves.
• Assist with monitoring employee hours and benefits.
• Ad-hoc projects as requested by senior management team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in HR Management or related field
• CPP and/or SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
• Knowledge of employee relations, unemployment, leave programs and employment verifications.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with accurate attention to details.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
