Job summary

Lee Hecht Harrison Nederland B.V. in Denver, CO invites a detail‑oriented Payroll Specialist to join our hybrid team delivering accurate, on‑time payroll across multiple states.

You will process hourly and salaried employees, audit data, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with HR, Accounting and Benefits to maintain data integrity. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of payroll experience, proficiency with ADP/UKG/Paycom/Workday or similar platforms, strong Excel skills, and a proactive

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
  • Experience handling multi-state payroll preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and wage compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, Paycom, Workday, Ceridian, Paylocity, or similar platforms.
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and multi-state employees.
  • Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Review and audit payroll data, including new hires, terminations, bonuses, commissions, and benefits deductions.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconcile payroll reports, tax filings, and general ledger accounts.
  • Support payroll-related audits and year-end activities including W-2 processing.
  • Partner with HR, Accounting, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate employee data.
  • Assist with payroll process improvements, system upgrades, and automation initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus

  • Experience supporting large employee populations

  • Exposure to payroll implementations or system conversions

  • Accounting or finance background preferred

  • Experience with reconciliations and reporting

Success in This Role

Pay Details

$30.00 to $45.00 per hour
