Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a payroll support professional to provide direct client consulting and payroll processing services. You will understand payroll deeply, maintain accuracy, and work under supervision while independently managing client relationships.

Responsibilities include processing payrolls, generating earnings/tax reports, and training clients on payroll processes. You will stay updated on laws and ADP tools, ensuring confidentiality and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree
• Experience with ADP software platforms desirable
• Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Strong adaptability and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to effectively work in a deadline driven environment serving multiple clients
• Ability to provide exceptional client service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; communicates professionally with all levels
• Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly
• Ability to learn from experiences and share knowledge with colleagues

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and consulting to payroll clients
• Understand payroll deeply and stay updated on payroll practices/laws
• Manage client relationships independently, escalate issues when needed
• Ensure client payroll information is accurate in the payroll system
• Process payrolls timely, including bonuses/severance and tax calculations
• Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions
• Establish strong client relationships and consult on payroll matters
• Maintain confidentiality of employee data
• Convey information clearly in writing and verbally
• Provide technical software support and identify out-of-scope work
• Identify opportunities to expand services to clients
• Assist implementation team and train clients on payroll processes
• Be a resource to new hires and share knowledge
• Stay current with ADP product knowledge and payroll laws
