Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a payroll professional in the United States to support client payroll processing, accuracy, and timely delivery. You will work closely with clients, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and timely reporting, while collaborating with the implementation team on new client onboarding and training.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple payrolls for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant payroll experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
• CPP preferred.
• Experience with ADP RUN software and implementation experience.
• Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Strong adaptability and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to effectively work in a deadline driven environment serving multiple clients.
• Ability to provide exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client payroll information is accurate within their payroll system and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and process payrolls to meet client deadlines; update records and calculate bonuses or severance; reconcile payroll deposits and tax withholdings.
• Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, deductions and employer contributions.
• Establish trusted client relationships by effectively consulting on payroll matters.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee data and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Provide technical software support to clients and identify out-of-scope work.
• Identify opportunities to expand services to clients.
• Be an additional resource to the implementation team when needed.
• Interview clients to understand payroll needs and manage new client implementations.
• Train clients on payroll processes as necessary.
• Be a resource to new hires and share knowledge to build team capabilities.
