Job summary

Baker Tilly US, LLP is seeking a Payroll Support Specialist to provide direct payroll client service and consulting. Under supervision, you will manage client relationships and ensure accurate payroll processing while escalating issues as needed.

You'll use ADP software, Outlook, and Microsoft Office to prepare reports, maintain employee records, and apply federal and state tax calculations. Strong attention to detail and deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with ADP software platforms desirable.
• Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Highly detail oriented with strong organization and time management.
• Ability to work under deadlines across multiple clients.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client payroll information is accurate within their payroll system and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and process payrolls to meet client deadlines, including updating records and calculating bonuses or severance, and reconciling deposits and withholdings.
• Prepare reports of employee earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions for social security and unemployment.
• Establish trusted client relationships by consulting on payroll matters and maintaining confidentiality.
• Provide technical software support and identify opportunities to expand services to clients.
• Manage client implementation projects, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
