Job summary

Truliant is seeking a Payroll Specialist to own accurate, timely payroll operations across the credit union. You’ll manage semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll, ensure compliance, and provide clear guidance on payroll policies to employees and managers.

The role requires 5+ years of payroll processing experience, knowledge of payroll tax laws, and experience with Workday. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required, with CPP or FCP certification a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of payroll tax laws and HR recordkeeping requirements.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word; VLOOKUP and PivotTables.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll, including hours worked, deductions, garnishments, taxes, bonuses, commissions, severance, payroll reports, and files submitted to third-party vendors.
• Audit payroll and Workday HRIS data, research discrepancies, respond to paycheck and payroll-reporting questions, and resolve issues promptly.
• Guide employees and managers on payroll, timekeeping, policies, and applicable requirements, while creating training materials and leading monthly manager payroll and timekeeping training.
• Partner with employees, managers, Human Resources, and external vendors to strengthen payroll processes and maintain accurate records.
