Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bi-weekly payroll processing for 500+ employees across multi-state locations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and labor compliance requirements.
• Oversee payroll tax filings, reconciliations, quarter-end processing, year-end processing, deductions, garnishments, benefits, and wage assignments.
• Review, audit, and process meal and rest period premium payments and labor compliance-related payroll adjustments.
• Generate and analyze payroll reports for HR, Finance, Operations, and senior leadership.
• Partner with HR on new hires, terminations, pay changes, promotions, leaves of absence, benefits, and employee status updates.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Bilingual Spanish Payroll Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA with a fast-paced restaurant and multi-location operations environment. This Payroll Manager role is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll professional with advanced ADP Workforce Now experience, strong payroll compliance knowledge, and hands-on experience supporting a large hourly workforce. This is a strong opportunity for a payroll leader who enjoys partnering with Human Resources, Finance, and Operations to ensure employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with wage and hour requirements. The work environment offers stability, collaboration, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to serve as the payroll subject matter expert for a high-volume restaurant organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bi-weekly payroll processing for 500+ employees across multi-state locations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and labor compliance requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $80,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
• Job Type: Direct Hire.
• Schedule options may include 7:00am to 4:00pm, 7:30am to 4:30pm, or 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Manage high-volume, full-cycle payroll processing for a 500+ employee workforce.
• Process multi-state payroll and ensure wage and hour compliance.
• Lead payroll reporting, audits, reconciliations, tax filings, and year-end payroll activities.
• Serve as the primary payroll point of contact and subject matter expert for payroll inquiries.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive payroll experience.
• Restaurant industry payroll experience required.
• Advanced ADP Workforce Now Payroll experience required.
• Bilingual Spanish and English communication skills required.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, labor compliance, deductions, garnishments, audits, and reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.
• Experience supporting 500+ employees in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, confidentiality, and ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting restaurant, hospitality, retail, or other multi-location operations.
• Prior experience improving payroll processes, strengthening audit controls, and increasing payroll accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both corporate teams and field-level employees in a high-volume operating environment.
