Job summary

Jobot in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead payroll across a growing, multi-location organization. This high-visibility role reports to the CFO and works closely with Finance, HR, and Operations to own payroll processes, reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement.

You will manage a small payroll team, handle biweekly processing, state taxes, year-end activities, and collaborate on process enhancements.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on multi-state payroll experience across a large organization.
• ADP Workforce Now experience required.
• Experience managing multiple locations, pay groups, and payroll cycles.
• Experience with commissions, bonuses, or incentive compensation.
• Prior payroll leadership experience with direct reports or team oversight.
• Strong payroll tax, wage/hour, reconciliation, and year-end knowledge.
• Comfortable supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations.
• CPP preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day payroll across a large, multi-location organization with ownership of accuracy and timing.
• Manage and support a small payroll team while processing, reviewing, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee biweekly payroll along with commission, bonus, and incentive compensation runs.
• Ensure payroll is accurate across multiple states, locations, and employee groups.
• Own payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, final pay, retro adjustments, and related compliance.
• Manage quarter-end and year-end activities, including reconciliations and W-2s.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Accounting, and Operations on payroll questions and process improvements.
• Use ADP Workforce Now and Excel to improve reporting and controls.

This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with Finance, HR, and Operations leadership. The Payroll Manager will lead a small team while staying involved in the day-to-day function, with ownership over payroll processes, reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day payroll function across a large, multi-location organization, with ownership of accuracy, timing, and overall execution
• Manage and support a small payroll team while remaining hands-on with processing, review, approvals, and troubleshooting
• Oversee biweekly payroll along with separate commission, bonus, and incentive compensation runs
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately across multiple states, locations, and employee groups
• Own payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, final pay, retro adjustments, and related compliance requirements
• Manage quarter-end and year-end activities, including reconciliations, W-2s, amendments, and reporting
• Partner with HR, Finance, Accounting, and Operations on payroll questions, escalations, and process improvements
• Use ADP Workforce Now and Excel to improve reporting, controls, and payroll efficiency

• Experience managing multiple locations, pay groups, and payroll cycles
• Experience with commissions, bonuses, or incentive compensation
• Prior payroll leadership experience with direct reports or team oversight
• Strong payroll tax, wage/hour, reconciliation, and year-end knowledge
• Comfortable supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations
• Strong Excel, auditing, and payroll reporting skills
• CPP preferred, not required
