Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Payroll Manager in Fort Worth, TX to lead payroll across multiple locations. You'll oversee a small team, ensure accuracy and compliance, and partner with Finance, HR, and Operations to drive process improvements.

The role reports to CFO and is on-site with a strong benefits package. Responsibilities include biweekly payroll, commissions and incentive programs, year-end tasks, and ensuring tax compliance across states.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on multi-state payroll experience.
• ADP Workforce Now experience required.
• Experience managing multiple locations, pay groups, and payroll cycles.
• Experience with commissions, bonuses, or incentive compensation.
• Prior payroll leadership experience with direct reports or team oversight.
• Strong payroll tax, wage/hour, reconciliation, and year-end knowledge.
• Comfortable supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations.
• CPP preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day payroll function across a large, multi-location organization, with ownership of accuracy, timing, and overall execution.
• Manage and support a small payroll team while remaining hands-on with processing, review, approvals, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee biweekly payroll along with separate commission, bonus, and incentive compensation runs.
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately across multiple states, locations, and employee groups.
• Own payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, final pay, retro adjustments, and related compliance requirements.
• Manage quarter-end and year-end activities, including reconciliations, W-2s, amendments, and reporting.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Accounting, and Operations on payroll questions, escalations, and process improvements.
• Use ADP Workforce Now and Excel to improve reporting, controls, and payroll efficiency.

This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with Finance, HR, and Operations leadership.
