Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day payroll function across a large, multi-location organization, with ownership of accuracy, timing, and overall execution
- Manage and support a small payroll team while remaining hands-on with processing, review, approvals, and troubleshooting
- Oversee biweekly payroll along with separate commission, bonus, and incentive compensation runs
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately across multiple states, locations, and employee groups
- Own payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, final pay, retro adjustments, and related compliance requirements
- Manage quarter-end and year-end activities, including reconciliations, W-2s, amendments, and reporting
- Partner with HR, Finance, Accounting, and Operations on payroll questions, escalations, and process improvements
- Use ADP Workforce Now and Excel to improve reporting, controls, and payroll efficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Strong hands-on multi-state payroll experience
- ADP Workforce Now experience required
- Experience managing multiple locations, pay groups, and payroll cycles
- Experience with commissions, bonuses, or incentive compensation
- Prior payroll leadership experience with direct reports or team oversight
- Strong payroll tax, wage/hour, reconciliation, and year-end knowledge
- Comfortable supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations
- Strong Excel, auditing, and payroll reporting skills
- CPP preferred, not required

This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with Finance, HR, and Operations leadership. The Payroll Manager will lead a small team while staying involved in the day-to-day function, with ownership over payroll processes, reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement.
