Phoebe Ministries Allentown is seeking a Payroll Lead to oversee accurate, timely payroll processing across affiliated entities. Based in Allentown, this role collaborates with Human Resources, Finance, and operations to ensure compliance and data integrity, while serving as a subject matter expert.

The position emphasizes confidentiality, independent judgment, and a service-oriented mindset in a mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, human resources, or a related field preferred.
• Several years of progressively responsible payroll experience required. Prefer 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Experience independently processing or supporting complex payroll operations strongly preferred.
• Experience with payroll/HRIS systems and payroll reporting required.
• Payroll certification, such as Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, timely, and compliant payroll for multiple related companies.
• Provide functional leadership for payroll activities and resolve complex issues.
• Ensure payroll system integrity and collaborate with HR, Finance, managers, and employees.
• Demonstrate confidentiality, accountability, and technical payroll knowledge.
