Job summary

CFS in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Payroll & HR Specialist to oversee payroll and human resources functions in a growing construction environment. This role requires strong knowledge of payroll processing, HR compliance, and employee relations, with responsibility for about 200 employees weekly payroll and benefits administration.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of progressive HR and payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, HR compliance, benefits administration, and employee relations.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• HR or payroll certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP, CPP, or FPC) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate weekly payroll for about 200 employees.
• Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, reimbursements, and changes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
• Coordinate payroll tax reporting and system transitions.
• Oversee onboarding, personnel files, and HR records.
• Coordinate benefits administration with providers like UnitedHealthcare.
• Support performance documentation and employee relations as needed.
