CFS, a growing construction company, seeks a Payroll & HR Specialist to oversee payroll and HR functions. The role is highly visible and requires a confident, knowledgeable professional who can work independently and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities include payroll processing for ~200 employees, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR compliance. The position offers a discretionary bonus, medical coverage, and PTO/holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Strong understanding of HR practices, benefits administration, and employee relations.
• Onboarding, I-9s, documentation, and records management.
• Visible, independent worker who can handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate weekly payroll for ~200 employees.
• Manage deductions, garnishments, reimbursements, and payroll changes.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and tax reporting.
• Coordinate payroll system transitions and onboarding of new benefits.
• Oversee employee onboarding, maintain HR records, and respond to staff questions.
• Coordinate benefits with providers and process enrollment changes.
• Support performance documentation and employee relations as needed.
