Job summary

CFS is seeking a Payroll Coordinator in Columbus, OH to join a growing finance team. You will handle day-to-day payroll tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting employees across the organization.

The role requires 1–2 years of payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and solid communication skills. Familiarity with ADP, Workday, or Paycor is preferred. Onsite work with standard hours. This is a hands-on position with opportunities for growth within the department.

Responsibilities

• Compile payroll data from time sheets, taxes and benefits.
• Enter data into payroll system and compute wages.
• Post data to payroll records and correct errors.
• Record changes affecting net wages and department transfers.
• Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes and deductions.
• Prepare and issue paychecks.
• Keep records of leave pay and non-taxable wages.

Responsibilities Of The Payroll Coordinator

• The Payroll Coordinator will compile payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, and insurance to be withheld, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records.
• Enter data into payroll system to compute wages and deductions
• Post data to payroll records.
• The Payroll Coordinator will review wage computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
• Record changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records.
• Record data concerning transfer of employees between departments.
• Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
• Keep records of leave pay and nontaxable wages.
• The Payroll Coordinator will prepare and issues paychecks.
