The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of payroll experience, proficient in payroll systems, and preferably bilingual in English and Spanish. This role also involves preparing detailed reports and improving payroll processes within the organization.

Responsabilidades

• Process and distribute payroll, payroll tax payments, and employee benefit payments in accordance with established policies.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure proper documentation of all payroll and benefit transactions.
• Prepare regular and ad hoc reports related to payroll expenses, tax filings, and benefit disbursements.
• Review payroll processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for payroll-related questions and procedures.
• Coordinate and prioritize payroll tasks, guiding junior staff as needed.
• Work independently within defined procedures with attention to detail.
• Collaborate with related teams to align payroll with organizational goals.
• Identify gaps in processes and propose solutions for compliance and operational effectiveness.

Conocimientos

Strong working knowledge of payroll processes

Position Summary

Our client is looking for a Payroll Coordinator who will be responsible for processing and distributing payroll, payroll taxes, and employee benefit payments while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation. This role supports payroll operations by analyzing existing workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to process efficiencies. The Payroll Coordinator also prepares detailed payroll and benefits-related reports for internal use.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and distribute payroll, payroll tax payments, and employee benefit payments in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure proper documentation of all payroll and benefit transactions
• Prepare regular and ad hoc reports related to payroll expenses, tax filings, and benefit disbursements
• Review current payroll processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Serve as a subject matter resource for payroll-related questions and procedures
• Coordinate and prioritize work within the payroll function, providing guidance to less experienced team members as needed
• Work independently within defined procedures while exercising sound judgment and attention to detail
• Collaborate with related teams to ensure payroll activities align with broader organizational objectives
