Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Payroll Clerk in Santa Ana, CA. This dual-role position handles accounts receivable and payroll processing for an ice cream distributor.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of combined AR and/or payroll experience, is proficient with QuickBooks, ADP, or Paychex, and demonstrates strong attention to detail and organization. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm, with a pay rate of $21.00–$24.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience with accounting/payroll software (QuickBooks, ADP, Paychex, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Generate and send out customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Post customer payments and reconcile accounts receivable ledger.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables through collections calls and emails.
• Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate customer records and credit information.
• Assist with the month-end closing related to AR.
• Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees using payroll software.
• Verify timekeeping records, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
• Calculate and process employee garnishments, benefits, and tax withholdings.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Prepare and file payroll tax reports and deposits.
• Generate payroll reports and respond to employee payroll inquiries.
• Maintain confidential employee payroll and HR records.

An ice cream distributor is seeking an Accounts Receivable / Payroll Clerk in the city of Santa Ana. This dual-role position is responsible for managing the company’s accounts receivable processes and executing accurate, timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
