Job summary

Vernovis is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support our clients' back office, including payroll and billing processes. This onsite role in Highland Hills, OH focuses on data entry, timely responses to inquiries, and accurate payroll/billing maintenance.

You will assist with new customer setup, data integrity across databases, and processing credits/rebills while helping clients improve reporting accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic office equipment.
• Understanding basic accounting principles including payroll, payroll taxes, AP/AR.
• Detail oriented with data in multiple databases.
• Ability to work under pressure and be customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Verify data entered to process client payroll and billing timely.
• Provide timely, professional responses to customer inquiries.
• Set up new customers and enter data.
• Maintain client payroll and billing databases accurately.
• Update customer folders with current week's payroll and billing instructions.
• Process credits and rebills.
• Assist clients with reporting payroll and billing information.
• Provide training on payroll and billing software usage.
• Transmit accounting and payments reports (wires, ACH, AR credits/debits).
• Notify management promptly of any problems.
